Whats best computer games now?

I was talking to a mate of mine the other week who i've not spoken to in over 18 years. We used to regulaly skip school and play death matches of Doom via modem. I used to love these types of games, just basically destroy everything in sight. I've bearly played any computer games in over 10 years (my son has got wii and playstation etc, but they bore me).

I used to love Gametek Quaratine, but unfortunately it doesnt work with windows vista.

I basically want to know whats the equivalent nowadays. To the likes of Doom, Doom II, Heretic, Quaratine etc. Something simple but fun??

Unreal Tourament is probably the king of PC shooters AFAIK.


i imagine youll easily get a game as its only just coming up to a year old and PC games have followers for years after.

bf2 great fun but only on line single player not so good imo

Call Of war It just good fun and great all rounder

CCS. pure cannon fodda lovly game a bit dated but easy to kill a few hours abit like doom same format.

Me I dot a bit bord with them and moved on to morpg games like
