It appears I have rustled somebodies feathers by claiming it was the first V6 road legal, let me clarify this is the first road legal MK1 although as I'm selling a MK1 I expected that was a given, clearly not!
This is a very special car, it was the 2nd V6 conversion ever started, but more importantly it was the 1st that was actually legally driven & registered on the road in the UK. I take no glory in the building as it t was built by a qualified Aeronautical Engineer to a very high standard there is ...
To find it it's oil fnd a long downhill stretch of road, get up to about 50 then come off the throttle, coast in gear for about 100 years then stamp hard on the throttle, helps if you have somebody looking out the back window, in a car behind you or fix a camera to your boot. If it's using oil on th...
The old belt was damaged, so was unreadable and I was unable to take a measurement for the same reasons. I do have a modicum of intelligence. For thanks for your 'input' Take it as sarcasm if you wish it wasn't intended so, but if it's still in one piece than all you had to do was fold it in half, ...
Actual amount it 3.8L I believe, so assuming you can't get all the oil out via the drain, 3.2 isn't bad, did you do it on a flat surface or car ramps as that would change the angle as well & therefore the filling level
Contacted Paul late week before last to see if he had a solution for my MK1 V6 tacho reading 50% high told me to send him the speedo/tacho unit. Took it out last weekend, sent it to him Monday, arrived Tuesday got a PM later that day to say it was done, arrange courier to collect Wednesday, arrived ...
My other questions would be where was it from 2006 until 2008, online MOT started 2006 so it's also got 2 years missing, the speedo you can see it has 3807 displayed, but the MOT mileage is 134,427 so how does that figure unless it's now done 138,7xx which although not low mileage isn't that bad for...
Although I wouldn't of put it in quite the same words he does have a point, to list a car on Fleecebay it's £10 plus then there's a 1% final fee on an auction, or it's £14.50 fpr a classified plus 1% on the final fee. So £2K car is going to cost you over £30 either way. Autotrader is minimum £36.95,...
Thanks for the reply mine is also V6 on 16's I definatly don't want a harsh ride, used to have a R33 on Tein & that was far too harsh for me but that was on 18's
Car flew through it's test after being sat 8 years, but MOT tester said there was very slight play in 3 of the 4 top mounts, no problem thinks I, I'll just buy new, was thinking about some 30mm lowering springs anyway, but OMG the price of them. TCB list them as no longer available, Mr Ben wants £64...
