[Mk2] [Turbo] Rocker cover bolts

Does anyone know the size of the blts for the rocker cover on a Rev2. I want to change them for bolt head and not those stupid philips head ones. Hopefully bolt heads won't come loose and bleed oil all over my alternator again!!

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] water temp sensor part number

Well lads I'm totally lost, the sensor in question isn't in jimgts's pic, it would be in the bottom left of the pic coming out of the thermostat housing at least I think that's what it is. The black pipe is covering it up. I've got the ignition sensor coming tomorrow so let's hope to God its the rig...

[Mk2] [Turbo] water temp sensor part number

Can anyone help me find a part number for a water temp sensor for my rev2 turbo. There's 2 of them coming out of the hard pipe coming from the resivor tank in the engine bay, 1's green and the lower 1 is grey/white. I've been on the epc sticky and there's nothing there I can see. Any help would be g...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Tein adjusters question

The EDFC should fit with no problems, although the ones for the rear shocks fit nice and snuggly under the side panels.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Actuator

Ya I know how that feels, although most people I take my 2 to won't do certain jobs on them anymore, ie timing belt. If you're getting an uprated acuator make sure the springs are the right tension, I only found out recently as in tonight that Forge do different tensioned springs. A bit of a pain in...

Cheers I didn't know that. Would you have any recommendations which springs to go for. I just want to run 1bar at the max.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Full boost by 6000RPM...surely not

the forge actuators can come with various pre set springs, you really need to know whats inside it before making any adjustments.
john

Is there any way of getting the spring changed do you know?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Full boost by 6000RPM...surely not

Have you managed to sort out your forge acuator? mine's doing my nut but in fairness I haven't had the turbo out to sort it. Making the rod longer should sort the boost out.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Actuator

I really don't think it's that easy!! I got a mate to replace mine, now he's pretty handy with this sort of stuff and it took him 12hrs!! I think the easiest way is to remove the turbo, oh and the accuator is spot welded to the bracket.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Full boost by 6000RPM...surely not

I had the exact same problem, so I changed the acuator for an adjustable type. This sorted the problem of slow boost but it now boosts up to the fuel cut 1.2 bar. Apparently the 2's can run up to this on standard internals and I've had no ill affects yet, apart from the fuel cut.

[Mk2] [Turbo] What way does accuator go

Does anyone know which way to adjust the Forge accutators to turn down the boost. At the minute my 2 is boosting to well over 1.2 bar!!

Re: Have you spun your MR2?

Spun mine a few times on the track, but never on the road. Got pretty close once, I came round a bend a little too fast and the back stepped out, so the car was 90degrees to where I should have been faceing, after correcting I 180'd faceing the other direction. This happened 4 times but managed to k...

Cheersd mate.
Just wondering if you could tell me if that's the one going to the solenoid at the back of the engine? Still waiting on a manual so I'm flying blind at the minute.
