it might be worth checking the column before changing the rack; there's a built-in rubber bush that can perish checked and welded up 6 months ago, mot man say deffo rack, Says they charge a £50 surcharge that you get back after sending your old one back in. yeh i know they say that, but when i rang...

oh yes, i tried them last year when i wanted one and they wanted to have my rack to recon and then give me it back, only prob is my mr2 is my daily driver so need to take on off and put one on straight away

can anyone recommend a place to get a good recon steering rack for a mk1b? i got one just over a year ago and it has just failed its mot on it, excessive play and both gaiters split,


so any suggestions?

Unfortunately the car has no tax which is one of the reasons i am selling as i can't afford to re-tax her.

Well i lost my job and few weeks ago and find the need now to sell my Mk1 b. As stated in the Above she has done 202k miles and still pulls like a train, Unsure if its the same engine or not but have no need to think otherwise. According to Autodata it should be as follows:

Stage 1
: 25NM
Stage 2
: 45NM
Stage 3
: 55
- 64NM

Barkston is good for novices but from what I know, but not exactly challenging or hugely fun. Just up the road from me too - whereabouts are you? i am over in melton mowbray if its a drift day i better get some slightly less grippy tyres as mine needs some serious toe downto slide at the mo with me...

ty for the responses.
The reason i asked was a chap just came into work to fit a new card machine and was saying that he was taking his 200sx up there on the 28th and suggested i took my 2 for a play lol.

Has anyone had any dealings with the Javelin Track Day people? They hold a track day event at Barkston eath which is just down the road from me and there prices seem very reasonable 

Just wondering if anyone been on one of there days before?
