Donington GP Eve - Tue 10th July (BAT)

Post by mr2mk1chick »

I know its an early thread but 3 of us MK1 SC peeps have booked for this.
just wondered if any more MR2's would like to join us for an informal IMOC/MR2 track meet?

Errm, Si's the only one properly booked up (i.e paid)

I do fancy having a go on the full GP circuit though!

I have done it once before, but it was absolutely yonks ago (and in a Vauxhall Cavalier! :clown: )

It's unusual for a trackday to use the full circuit, that's why I have provisionally booked it.

I love the evening sessions, it means no early morning get up and you still get plenty of tracktime :thumleft:.

Jo came along as a passenger last time I did an evening session. We took the E***e and Jo got stomach ache from me stamping on the brakes at the end of Starkey's straight (for Goddards)!

It will be top fun, please come along peeps! :thumleft:

I've been there often enough but never found a curry place 8-[ - I'm clearly slacking  so I don't really know of anywhere around there. I'll be happy to go looking on the evening but if there are a few of us we need somewhere with car parkage plus good food and we'll need to know that it's there.

Rummaged up scram sounds like an absolute blinder :thumleft: but it's asking a lot, particularly if lots of peeps turn up.

I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for curry houses in that area? Otherwise I'll 'find' 8) one or two and see what they're like.

plan a) Tom and I can make a few enquiries in the meantime for a place locally,
plan b) otherwise we can either BBQ, mexican, takeaway, chilli, etc at mine (15 mins away from donny ish) no prob.
i'm no masterchef, but dont mind doing something for a few regular peeps :thumleft:
plan c) If there ends up being loads, which i doubt on a school night, then plan c comes into action.....when i think of one

Just booked up for this track evening, in the MR2 Only track car if she survives Germany, by then we should have our Mk2 MR2 track car also, so we might end up booking another place for that one, be interesting to see how much improvement we have made to the car from our last track day at Donny \:D/

Well you did promise us some track tuition Si!!!

Shouldnt need the turbo mate, especially if we have the Mk2 there as well, will probably be our first outing in it to see if it is going to stand up to our MR2 Challenge plans!
