Longtime No Type But......

can anyone recommend a place to get a good recon steering rack for a mk1b? i got one just over a year ago and it has just failed its mot on it, excessive play and both gaiters split,


so any suggestions? :)

oh yes, i tried them last year when i wanted one and they wanted to have my rack to recon and then give me it back, only prob is my mr2 is my daily driver so need to take on off and put one on straight away :(

Says they charge a £50 surcharge that you get back after sending your old one back in.

might be just as easy to buy a quaife quick rack.

it might be worth checking the column before changing the rack; there's a built-in rubber bush that can perish

checked and welded up 6 months ago, mot man say deffo rack,

yeh i know they say that, but when i rang they said they not got one in stock but could recon mine if i sent them that which is not much good for me
