Re: Johnny G's 3.4 litre V6 Turbo
Good grief, JG! Glad you're okay and that's one hell of a shame about the car :/ I'd like to note that it warms my heart to see reactions such as these. Whenever someone in the US wrecks their MR2, threads about it often devolve into mean-spirited finger-pointing and insults... Man, i am really sorr...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Where is the electronic speedo sensor located ?
it's on the back side of the gearbox, with a 3-pin connector that faces upward. Should be just to the left of the engine mount that bolts to the rear crossmember.

[Mk2] [Generic] Looking for help wiring motorized fogs
Hey hey! Do any of you, by chance, have wiring diagrams for the third or fourth revision MR2 over there? I need to get ahold of the wiring diagrams for the motorized fog light system (fogs --> fog ECU --> steering sensor, etc.). North American MR2s never had the option, but I have a complete set of ...

Re: Any SMG cars out in the UK?
got told my SMG is actually a SGM due to the year it was made (92) ... still love the colour though. AFAIK, they changed it for model year 1992 in the U.S., but you're right.. the early silver cars were called "Steel Grey Mist" in the factory brochures. Loving the Rev6 headlights, too. It...

Re: Any SMG cars out in the UK?
Nailmonkey: Thanks! Loving your '95.. the rev5 wing looks right at home. That's some pretty short suspension, too! Are your rear control arms and tie rods inverted? =o Draven: :D From the photo, yours looks like Sonic Shadow (Astral Black roof with Lucerne Silver body). Patrick Almost.. we never got...

Re: Looking for part # or parts
Harry, sounds good to me. I'll think about his auction, since they come with the bulbs, but getting them for $30 shipped to my house from a Toyota dealer sounds like a deal I can't refuse, even if I have to fabricate my own bulb sockets from spare parts :) Say, how do you feel about shipping that To...

Any SMG cars out in the UK?
Just curious to see how many (if any) people out there have a Steel Mist Grey car... They're fairly rare, stateside, and most of what I've seen on your boards here have been red or black
Here's mine:

Re: Looking for part # or parts
Yeah.. that's a bridge I'll have to burn to the ground after I cross it ;) I actually just have corner signals on my car (the toblerone, as you call them, are horribly unsightly!), with the former side lights wired up as running lights in the secondary turn signal socket. I'm not sure if I want to w...

Re: Looking for part # or parts
As already stated, the mk2 MR2 never got clear side repeaters. However, the UK gen7 Celica (1999-) got clear repeaters that are identical in every way, the part number is: 81731-20220. These are around £12 each. The black rubber that goes around the outside of these is: 81732-17050. These are aroun...

Re: Looking for part # or parts
Actually, I found someone selling a set they claim to be OEM Toyota parts.. but I can't find a single photo of a 1998+ MR2 that has them on it. All I find are the ambers (as noted above). Is there someone who could give their local Toyota dealer a ring about it? They look OEM quality.. the same mold...

Looking for part # or parts
Hello, there.. I'm looking for a couple part #s from a UK/J-spec Mk.II (Rev 3-5?) MR2 and hoping you all could help out, since U.S. Toyota dealers have no idea how to get ahold of non-American parts without having the actual Toyota #.. Anyhow, I'm looking for the number (or numbers) for the clear fe...
