Just curious to see how many (if any) people out there have a Steel Mist Grey car... They're fairly rare, stateside, and most of what I've seen on your boards here have been red or black
Here's mine:

Re: Any SMG cars out in the UK?
Hi,
They're pretty common over here, not as common as red or black though.
I've got one (pics in my garage)
Very nice car you've got there, loving the black roof.

OOOoo looks like a very nice 2 you have there very clean..
There are a few around. Mr2's seem to be mostly popular in red or black as your say..

I had one a few years back:
...but then I've owned most colours now! I bought another one in SMG just last week actually.
From the photo, yours looks like Sonic Shadow (Astral Black roof with Lucerne Silver body).

Nailmonkey: Thanks! Loving your '95.. the rev5 wing looks right at home. That's some pretty short suspension, too! Are your rear control arms and tie rods inverted? =o
Draven:
Almost.. we never got the Sonic Shadow as an option in the States.. Production here ended in 1994 (we have 1995s, but they're revision 2 cars.. no gen3 3SGTE). Mine is a Steel Mist Grey repaint that I happened to just have redone in the theme of Sonic Shadow. In better light, the blue really stands out.
You all have nice cars, too. It seems that Brits take better care of their sportscars then us caveman Americans Here we have mostly 91-93 cars.. and it's not uncommon to see either a turbo or n/a with over 200,000 on it.. and the road damage to go with it. Clean cars are a rarity, as most owners here are cheap/poor college students. =/
Heck, my own '93 isn't exactly a mint car.. While it's in great shape now as I put a V6 in it, it's actually been totaled three times (frame damage, that is) and repaired nearly-perfectly.
here's a photo of it after being t-boned by a Ford Excursion (think full size work truck, but converted to be a family wagon):

AFAIK, they changed it for model year 1992 in the U.S., but you're right.. the early silver cars were called "Steel Grey Mist" in the factory brochures.
Loving the Rev6 headlights, too. It's such a shame that the exchange rate is so awful right now. It's downright expensive to get ahold of a set, here! =/
silver tubbys only lol
What we need is a silver tubby only meet what do you think ?
