Re: water protection?
Hi, I did this earlier this year. Got a spare boot seal and cut it to fit along the sides of the engine bay, below the panels, to stop rain running down. http://www.ebayphotogallery.com/zdjecia/z566/5669715/middle/9.jpg http://www.ebayphotogallery.com/zdjecia/z566/5669715/middle/10.jpg Went on easy ...

Re: Air con condenser info
ahh, cheers for that, didnt realise the jap parts might all be same. Will take a shot at using it, as I got it cheap. Hopefully it will work, as dont want to spend over £300 on a new one. Before I do it though, is it possible to seal any cracks at the bottom of a condenser and salvage my current one...

Air con condenser info
Hi all, just wondered if anyone has any knowledge regarding air con condensers? Mine has started leaking at the bottom, so air con re-gas doesnt last much past a month. It's a rev 4 turbo. I was goin to look for a replacement, then remembered I have a 2nd hand one I bought couple years ago, to repla...

Re: Opinions on a boost fault?
I thought about a boost controller other month, but wanted to make sure I can eliminate any faults first without faffing with engine  And its a constant thing, tis same on a short or long run. Already had cat looked at an they said it didnt look blocked. Will just put up with it for now, tis f...

Re: Opinions on a boost fault?
its not unheard of for the boost to drop if being controlled by the standard boost solenoid/controller, aka the tvsv. i would look at your timing and for any leaks. This! Hi again all, left it a while before I got the 2 booked in. but had it checked over again by same place with rolling road and di...

Re: Opinions on a boost fault?
Also is there anyone near Nottinghamshire who has a smoke machine for diagnostics? My mate had one at his workshop, used it for finding leaking bov on my old rev2, but he's not working currently due to an injury.. theres some beers in it for anyone nearby could take a peek who knows their stuff? :wi...

Re: Opinions on a boost fault?
cheers, will have garage look at timing as well.. tho was set up last summer when I had new cam belt put on. Theres no leaks atm, but looking at the age of the car, could it be the solenoid or actuator just not doing the job anymore? Also is the wastegate and actuator the same thing? Another thing I...

Re: Opinions on a boost fault?
Hi, its got stock recirc bov atm, but that could be sticking i suppose. What does actuator look like? I know where the boost solenoid is, as someone suggested they can stick, as my defi boost gauge sometimes stops at 0.5bar. Sounds similar to mine Robbie, but ive not got any leaks and not running ri...

Re: Azure Blue rev4 tubby purchase

She already had an old mk1 defi turbo gauge, and with luck i found matching gauges :) Also got touch screen multimedia player and satnav fitted and after ive sorted her small boost issue out, i might get a boo...

Opinions on a boost fault?
Hi all, before I spend alot of cash on a trial and error, wondered if anyone has an idea with a small boost problem. Had diagnostics done and rolling road to see whats happening, as over last month or 2 my turbo aint boosting fully. Gets to about 3/4 boost then drops off, no knocking, bucking or mas...

Re: Looking for views on gauges
I've seen the twin pillar pods from them, seen some on ebay too, cant find any single ones tho. Did you have to glue the 3 pod unit onto the dash? Will keep looking tho for pods, might have to get a twin one and chop it haha saw this on ebay, not the best, but could chop it, as its a 60mm one http:/...

Re: Looking for views on gauges
This is mine: It's a Blitz dash mount 3x60mm pod, fitted with 52mm reducer rings for the 52mm gauges. They come up from time to time. Might want to give MR2eddy on here a shout, as he used to do copies of them. :thumleft: Aye, thats the type I'd like, will find mr2 eddy and send him a message. Blit...

Re: Looking for views on gauges

And dont want to wait many months for a 2nd hand centre dash one to appear. also the only piller pods ive seen are for T-bar mr2s (one in link), not seen any for tintops? tho...

Looking for views on gauges
hey folks, I know theres been other threads about gauges, but just looking for other views on what I'm thinkin of doing. My 2 came with an original Defi MK1 module and boost gauge, shown in pic below, however the original owner placed these on passenger side and top of dash. Have most likely been on...
