Re: FINALLY - 720 BHP / 565 LB-FT
Sorry - ain't been here as much as i'd like to over the last few days! To get to this level its cost me in the region of 30k+ (no re-mortgages yet though). But thats just the start! At this power level, things break quite easily (touchwood nothing has broken yet), but you have to be prepared for it...

So then, thrash it from the off or gently, gently?

Thinking about it the warm it up, then thrash it should do a better job.

Re: R888s FTW
R888's are great, I run them on my 5.
I went from normal road tyres thinking that I don't ever need more power as I couldn't get the power down to I think 60bhp ish more would be about right

Re: Spirited driving techniques
Even harder is going from an NA mr2 to a modded turbo, after having my NA for 5 years and obviously getting used to it well, confidence in the corners etc, I did a rev3 turbo conversion a few months back and im struggling to get used to it. Its not like ive switched cars, I've the same chassis, tyr...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Garage 'breaks' a wheel.... what would you do?
I don't actually like the big bolt covering centre caps, could you get them to have all the wheels machined down to take regular small centre caps? My old Kei Office wheel centres had the big cover option but I think the small centre cap and uncovered bolts looked the better choice :- http://www.ste...

Re: Tubby vs E46 M3
I thought Recaros were an optional extra for the mk2 MR2? Certainly loads of GTS's have them fitted. I've used most of the different types of OEM seat in the MK2. Stock cloth and GT half leather (which have more padding, same as the full leather UK ones) both have adjustable bolsters and lumbar sup...

was chatting with my local tyre guy this afternoon, he happens to be a lotus specialist he swears by the t1r's, even in the wet :? On the VX220 & Elise Forums the haters say people say T1Rs are good in the wet because they are so xxxx in the dry  To be honest I think they are good for the ...

hey yer im runnig them on my 16's and i cant fault them but your best bet would b to fit. 205/45 16 front 225/45 16 rear james These are the sizes I use - and are the best 16" match circumference ratio Front-Back to the factory 195/55 225/50. I have nothing good to say about the T1R... Paul. P...

Re: Anyone got any experience with Toyo T1R's in 205/50/16?
I've got them in 205/50/16 on the front of my car and they are fine. Front of my cars alot lighter than the MR2 though. I think the soft side wall is only an issue on 15" and with weight one them i.e. 15" on the rear is bad. I have 17" rears so again not an issue. As said on the MR2 y...

Re: R888 & wear....help please!
I have GG's on the Eunos and I found that they initially wear loads, coming in from the 1st session on track I thought I'd be lucky if they lasted the whole day. However after the initial really rapid wear taking about 2mm off them so down to about 3mm they seem to have just stopped wearing an anyth...

Re: Exhaust fabrication to meet Track Day regs.
I was sound tested at 110db last night at Brands Hatch. I've got a custom manifold, downpipe and center section, all in stainless, and then a Dep2Pro back box. Is it possible for me to get down to the trackday regs with a custom back box? Does anyone have any recommendations as to who to use? Thank...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Last bit of suspension.... EZ camber bolts or OEM Toyota?
I got the EZ bolts through http://revolution247.com/ when I got my wheel alignment done. They had to order them in. The difference between the EZ and Toyota ones is that the EZ ones are easier to setup due to the alignment marks. Cheers buddy :thumleft: Do the EZ ones actually give you anymore adju...

oh right, of course, the only place a child could possibly run out on you is outside a school :? Kids don't run out in front of cars any more. Kids don't play in the streets any more due to the kiddy fiddler round every corner. Kids sit on park benches getting pi$$ed ar mugging old ladies in shoppi...
