Not sure if this has been pointed out before, but I have just weighed a Rev 1 NA starter motor from a 3SGE- it is 0.9Kg lighter than its Tubby counterpart. Direct replacement wrt bolts and terminals, and should work OK.

rev2 rev3 spark leads are to the best of my knowledge the same - they are dizzy-cap dependent it was the rev1 that tended to have a push-on rather than clip-on lead-to-cap interface. I have been asked by the MGs-on-Track organisers to see if there is any interest in a joint day (at North Weald) for MG's and MR2's.

I guess there could be enough interest to be IMOC only but IMO far better to sell out quickly rather than worry about an under-subscribed event?
