Re: [Mk2] [Generic] vvti head marriage possible to rev3?

thank's i've heard the 'red top' (single vvti presumably the same as the beam's) will fit the rev 3, i've also been told the black top will fit the red top so i'm guessing the black top will fit the rev3, i think i'll have to get hold of a black top head gasket to compare. lower compression, the onl...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] vvti head marriage possible to rev3?

it's for a 3s-ge rev3 don't believe it'll have a 2zz head? :-k the head gasket's not a bad idea i know a chap in my local part's shop i'll ask nicely and he might get 2 out for me to look at if they're in stock :thumleft: i realise the oil will need to be supplied presuming it work's on a fixed pres...

Re: 4x4 mr2

i did think of trying to take some audi encouragement onboard, like maybe put the gearbox up front but its more trouble with the mr2, although i can only imagine the benefits of having that gearbox over the front wheels on a 4wheel mr2 :D GRIP!

thanks all!

Re: 4x4 mr2

lol then they'll have to burn me i want to do all sort's of 'different' approaches: vvt-i onto a rev3 i think it's possbile but i'm hoping it' s a cam phasing type i think this may be easier to convert rather than playing with rocker's, or possibly just convert it to a cam phasing type anyway, i'd r...

[Mk2] [Generic] vvti head marriage possible to rev3?

hi all just wondering if there is any mechanical reason why the vvti head will not fit the rev3 bottom end............i.e. the vein won't line up

are both vvti cam's phase controlled or just the inlet?

is it a cam changing vvti or a cam phasing vvti?

thanks chris

Re: 4x4 mr2

i'm presuming PW@woodsport is the infamous mr. wood's, i did think of this option probably would be easier to remount the engine but i was hoping i could find a t section transfer box then have a shortened shaft to it and from it for the rear and run an offset shaft to the front of the car, to a dif...

4x4 mr2

I'd love a 4wheel drive mr2 and i'm sure toyota did make a working prototype, has anyone got any information on this subject? i'm guessing they used a system similar to the gt4 although i know gt4 shafts are different, the picnic, previa, and various year celica's use the same splined shaft's, but i...

i mean by that is with the air being channeled up towards the vent, b y the kit does it effect the pressure, it should only really be noticable at 70mph and above?

only just saw this and would just like to ask the question, do you find your exhaust pressure is effected at speed with the exhaust mounted like that?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] THE FACTS ON AIR SCOOPS

I got one and i like the look but i also want the flush headlights, i think the tom's looks good.............and as far as weather or not it does anything i don't think TRD would have made it if they didn't think it did something beneficial, they're pretty smart with toyota's. :thumleft:

Re: [Mk2] [NA] MR2 na dyno bhp

i believe that's around the figure they had at the wheels on rev1's when they were from the factory :thumleft: PRIMO! there is a way to figure out the flywheel from that but you need to have the engine deceleration to measure the mechanical drag then add that to the bhp at wheels to give you the fly...
