MR2 MK2 Stainless Steel Engraved Fuse Box covers - Flying Dragon Design
Stainless Steel custom fuse box covers for front and rear - cosmetic upgrade. Have a really cool Flying Dragon design laser cut into each cover, would look really good with a coloured background underneath showing through. Re: TRD replica in Pimlico
That sounds meaty with the V6 under the hood. Love the kit on it, one of the nicest I've seen looking at the pics. Just having a read of the build thread, looks like you've put in a lot of work to get it where it is now.. Thanks Ant I really appreciate the kind words, it's been quite a project but ...

MR2 Mk2 Rain tray (for Turbo Lid)
I have a spare rain tray for a turbo engine lid (lid not supplied) in really good condition, just a few small dents as can be see but was stripped and resprayed satin black last summer. The light on the image actually makes the dents more pronounced than they actuall are. £30 collected or can wrap i...

Re: TRD replica in Pimlico
Hi Ben, Yes that's mine and it is a 3VZ V6 goes like stink. It's been rebuilt from the ground up, originally a rev 5 that needed some TLC which it got thanks to Patrick (Headcase) and Chris Wood (CDWood_2011). The build thread is in my signature if you want to take a look. Thanks for the recognition...

Re: Doesn't like the rain!
I've heard more often it being the king lead than anything else. Spot on Sheppy, it happened to me and I got exactly the same symptoms as Robbie is getting. An easy first check is to get someone to turn the engine over whist dark and check for any arcs in the engine bay. My king lead lit up like th...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Wuuring pulsing noise
Yes, also try driving it and then disengage the gears, if the noise continues then you can rule out any transmission issues but if it stops then it's worth looking at gearbox and drive shafts. My bet is also on brakes as maybe the rear handbrake needs adjusting or is seized in a position that doesn'...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Wuuring pulsing noise
Need a bit more info than that Dan: Where does it occur front or rear? Does it happen when braking or full lock or just when turning? Does it happen at a particular speed e.g. only when slowing down, only when braking? Have you replaced any components lately? Did itstart after a particular event or ...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] weight loss on an NA tbar with tubby engine??
I've installed Wilwood 4 pot brakes on the front and including the brackets I'd say they are roughly half the weight of the OEM brake set up. Also, the 56mm rad I fitted is far lighter than stock and the twin fan shroud is the same weight as a single OEM fan, so not only saving weight but also twice...

Could well be the issue.shinny wrote:Stupid question - have you checked the garage haven't put your rear wheel on the front and visa versa on one side? It would certainly explain the sudden change in poke!

As much as I want you to enjoy this conversion I have to say it really pains me to see such a good example being used as a donor.
Still I suppose you have to make sacrifices
I hope the op goes well
John.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] 56mm Core Radiator
I fitted the 56mm straight into my rev 5 UK when I did the V6 swap and it's no trouble. A bit of 'jiggling' to get it in but didn't realise that it actually sits at an angle and I was trying to get it vertical. #-o numnuts!!! If you can get the slimline fan shrouds as well, they weigh as much as the...
