Re: Warped front disks

I also came to the conclusion its largely a myth, but people choose to use it as the answer to what is causing the problem. http://www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=6496&hl=warp&st=0 i thought i had warped disks, but after removing them i realised it was the hub surface tha...

Re: MR2 and wind.

lol yeh the Netherlands is a bit of a trek but hell would it be fun..... under 120mph of course  the tyre pressure thing is the most apparent one at the moment, I did a lot of experimenting with pressures for mine, starting at 28 psi for the front and 32 psi for the rear. Obviously having 17&qu...

Re: MR2 and wind.

more important than having the alignment done is having the alignment done by people who know what theyre on about. Ive had a couple of people look at my car before and both completely missed the lock to lock issue i was having, a simple toe adjustment would fix it. I would only use WIM now, or one ...

Re: duke nukem forever

my brother got it yesterday, installed and enjoyed the one liners and old school gaming mentality. I dont think its a bad game, i in fact quite like it as it takes me back to the hights of my gaming addiction, but no, it isnt quite the same as the other modern games i do however think its cool.... &...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Exhaust Manifolds

do a little search for n/a manifold and thats pretty much what you will get in all the results, the ebay special. all of the ebay specials are for the rev3+ cars or the FE, so a 4-1 manifold and single pipe mid-pipe with the lambda in the manifold. be sure you buy a GE not an FE, if the sales person...

Re: ACIS- dyno plots

it is indeed interesting. the point it all starts to vary is at about 3.3K, i always read that acis cut in at 4.2k so clearly something else is happening or not?

it could be your the combination of breathing mods you have taking some effect, but im unsure

Re: ACIS- dyno plots

the default possition is open, in a previous post you said at low rpm they would be closed and open up at a set rpm, it is in fact the other way round. open as defualt and close when activated at higher rpm you are right, if the vac pipe leaks then the butterflies would be open at low rpm as standar...

Re: Car Wax/Polish. Any advice on whats best????

as above, working your cars paint is an art and worth while, the cutting compounds are only good for evening your paint, theyre not really intended for continual use over a long time, just a very spartain periodic use unlike most peoples opionions of t-cut. once the paint is back to the colour it sh...

Re: ACIS- dyno plots

from my reading it was the reverse, low rpm = open for longer/larger inlet keeping low torque and hp then at high rpm = closed for short inlet length and more efficient pressure and flow giving better higher end torque and hp. simular intentions to create efficiency at low and high revs to vtec but ...

Re: Logitech g25 wheel

agreed!

i was looking at getting a g27 but might have to be reserved and get the g25, essentially the same system just different revissions. I havent been able to find a g25 sub £100 anywhere and most second hand go for £70+ on the ebay. Very highly prized possesions and quite rightly so!

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Exhaust Manifolds

that exhaust is for the rev1 and 2 n/a, specifically. its unusual in that it keeps the 4-2-1 design which helps keep low end torque but is much lighter than the standard kit, plus doesnt have the woven flex which perishes on standard mid pipes. this is my dream manifold system and was added to my wi...

Re: gran turismo

so...... i bought a 1997 n/a which apparently has the beams 198bhp engine...... drives quite nicely, certainly manageable and slightly erie experience :thumleft: i then added some slight breathing mods and fully adjustable suspension so i could essentially set the car up the same as mine (although m...

have to agree that the mclaren is also my favorite......its the reason i bought the game, however i have gone for the base silver paint job and not put any of the aero parts on yet as they arnt correct for the real car...... but if it helps it stick to the black stuff i might find myself adding them...

Re: gran turismo

i found some glitches in photo mode when trying to take pictures from certain angles, the image you set up is not the photo it asks if you want to save! i lined my camera up over the top of my nice new mclaren f1 so that i had a perfect arial view and the image i got after taking the photo is a spin...

Re: NFS Hot pursuit

£5 for 3 cars seems a little steep! i know theyre both cop and racer so you could argue 6, but i cant see how they can justify that? on shift the download pack was 7 different exotic cars for £5. still steep in my eyes, but worth it having 7 completely different cars.... including the mclaren mp4 12...

Re: NFS Hot pursuit

trying to switch my brain from GT5 to nfs is one of the hardest things ive done! nfs hot persuit is certainly no sim! but ive played every nfs since "Road & Track Presents: The Need for Speed" back in 1994 so had to get this. I have to say that the graphics have continued to be conside...
