hi could somebody please tell me what the orange battery light is on my dash as it is always on.many thanks ian.

er, that your battery voltage is too low?

Have you got a multimeter? If so measure the voltage across the terminals and report back.

the battery is brand new its reading 12 -12.5 v

I have this, was on when i bought the car battery is fine, its something to do with when you put a UK battery in it causes this problem, i have had loads of people look at it and cant ork it out!

Its a ghost lol!!

thanks for your message,it seems we are both in the same boat because i have fitted a battery that is exide but not sure if it is the correct one,have you had any problems with this light being on or is it ok not to worry about it? once again thanks,ian.

I assume the voltage goes up to 13.5-14volts when the engines running ?

yeah alternator is putting out 14.5v,

There should be a sensor that goes into it. If this sensor is not plugged in then you will get that light.

Well this was the case on my old rev1 tubby.

Correct, usually happens when you change the original battery for a new one, no one ever puts the sensor back in, or the new battery can't physically take it. Think you need to just earth it out IIRC.

cheers mate what sensor and where do i find it?ps like the jibba jabba but aint got a f-....ing clue what that means lol

Should be a screw in sensor, fairly obvious to find normally with a single wire going into it.

thanks mate mine has been garaged till next april be avin some fun then at run what u brung santa pod make sure u go there sometime its the nuts

Been loads of times my friend, couldn't get up there this year though unfortunately. :cry:
