It has already been said he could use the injectors.... not the rail on a rev2 head.

Where did you read " transplant " lol

Slightly OT but just had a look at your garage royashmr2 8)

If your going down the route I'm going down then the rev1/2 fuel rail is not compatable with the rev3 head.

Current mission rev 3 head fitted to rev 1 block!!

this is true, you need to fork out on an ems and get mapped before you notice any improvements.....
and Paul, may not rev great past 6k, but stops making power past 5k on mine!

also take note, its been proven in US coupled with a larger than stock fuel pump, youll get a pressure drop across the rail, which "can" lead to problems....leaning out cylinders compared to others.

however, for some reason, noone appears to have court onto this in the UK, maybe its overhiped in the US asthey all suggest a better rail with a larger fuel pump...
ive got the bored out ATS racing fuel rail with my 540s and walbro pump....

if you got stock pump, youll be fine on 540s in a rev2 rail.....

i have converted mine to a rev 3 & have no problems with reving, it went right through to 7200rpm,normally the rev problem is due to not changing the igniter on the rev 2 to a rev 3,if u can afford it def go for the wolfkatz fuel rail it is the nuts i have pictures in my garage mate. as for pressure drop jim is right, if u want to run 800 as i am you will def need to change the fuel pump & fuel rail.
i think the bore of a rev 2 fuel rail is 3mm & the wolfkatz is 8mm hope this helps!!!

Its a garrett gt35/40 t4 rb. Few changes now. In TDI having a map put in it. Look out for the updated power figures on the 2.2 build.
