This is a quick list from memory in my lunch break, I may have remembered this wrongly and prices might be different next year.

~£70 for a room at the White Rabbit in Maidstone to all meet up before we leave
~£40 for the return ferry trip, presuming you book it early enough, otherwise it will be closer to £70
~£160 for the campsite for the 10 days
£35 for your le mans parking ticket
£60 for your le mans general entrance ticket

Ideally as much spending money as you can get, more spending money = more fuel = more run outs to various places, meals out in the evenings, more beer! I did it on the cheap last time and am intending to take at least €600 spending money next time round as it will be more fun!

You will need *at least 3 tanks of fuel*, Maidstone to Le Mans was 360 miles which I did on one tank just, everyone else filled up I think... most of the run through France is toll roads, this only totalled I think €20 each way but then again I didn't get stopped for speeding :D

You can book most of that stuff beforehand, certainly the ferry, hotel and tickets. Campsite needs paying for while you're there.

guys i am still up north at me mam's following the skye trip but i will be sorting this christmas party this week. i haven't been able to keep up with this having been away from home since wednesday so what i'd suggest is, anyone wanting to come along to the party who hasn't already given me a £10 per person deposit should maybe call my mobile 07983 460562 and i can tell you how to get your money to me asap. i will most likely sort it tomorrow or thursday evening and then there will be instructions by email/pm to follow re room bookings etc.

sorry for the lack of communication over the last few days, no mobile internet in scotland!! :?

Hi Wayne,

Don't worry mate, the lack of response is not cause we don't want you there. It's cause most of us Le mans peeps have been up in Scotland this long weekend and most of us are only just getting home and back into our working lives.

You are more than welcome matey. :thumleft:
You need to paypal me some wonga. See the seperate LM Xmas party in Derby thread.

Yea Wayne,

You are more than welcome to come along to the Le Mans 2009 Christmas Party but you do know after 3 or 4 Babyshams you will be coming on the trip!

Don't put it off any longer, lifes too short, I've realised that this weekend with the Skye accident.

Do it.....!!!

See you in Derby, like Pete said the LM thread has now been split for easier navigation.

Ben,

She can have whatever she wants, it doesn't matter you are coming to Le Mans   get in my son :+:

I take it you are coming to the LM09 Christmas Party too, would be nice to have you both there and would break the ice, some great people come on this trip, see seperate IMOC thread.

Have sent you a PM, make sure you book your room at the White Rabbit for the LM09 launch party on Monday 8th June, doesn't cost you nothing as you pay when you get there next year, oh, and your white parking ticket which can be bought from the main LM website.

Welcome aboard, look forward to meeting you both.

Guys, noticed you can book the ferry already  have we got definite dates sorted? Don't think I'll be extending the trip again so I guess that'll be 9th -> 15th?

John,

Thanks for that, DATES ARE INDEED DEFINATE

Get booked early as it saves you money, and buy a flexi ticket which is £10 extra but it means you can ammend your booking.

I think Unowho ( think about it ! ) has been on the speedferries website today & she thinks the price will come down, seems a tad more expensive than last year, but agreed we shouldnt leave it too long before we book so will leave it a few weeks & take a second gander & see what it comes out at :thumleft: may have to bite the bullit & pay whatever it is then, Jinxy

Jinx,

The most I've paid for a crossing was £163 which was LM2003

The cheapest was last year, £49 on a standard ticket, I've gone for the flex ticket which is a little more expensive. I think with fuel costs out of control, prices have had to go up, still cracking value though.

Standard return is £57 ( £8 more expensive than 2008 )

When booking for this year's crossing the cheapest it ever went was £49, by June I think it was around the £59 price mark so not a huge jump or early bird offer really.

It will be amazing how quickly the trip will come round, once we get Christmas out the way it's just around the corner.
