[Mk2] [Generic] clock conversion/ kmph/mph

Post by Antno »

im goin 2 do a rev3 turbo conversion from my rev 1 import in the nxt year. first i want to change the my clocks to el glow things from speed hut. which 1 should i by the turbo 1s or na. and a kmph 2 mph converter from thor racing. my speedo is cable now but will i have to change it to eletric when i av my turbo lump in.is the cable of the gear box or wheel. i obviously must have the dials to match the converter as the spaces between the numbers will be different. would like dials with a higher figure as in the future i want a higher topspeed by using a different final drive or maybe a staight cut box
any advice would be appreciated
cheers antno

My MR2 is a NA to Turbo conversion and it still uses the NA clocks, Im guessing this is because it doesnt have the stuff running up it to control the Boost guage.

When you do the conversion you will need new clocks as you will probably be using the Rev3's gearbox so its up to you realy, boost guage or volt meter. Personally I would go with the NA Voltmeter as apparantly the stock boost guage is crap when you start adjusting the boost.

Some more dials for you to consider are the Visual performance ones, heres mine which are 180mph ones -

i want the elo glow dials simular 2 urs but u cant just make a dial urself they have 2 match the converter u use as u cud just put clocks 2 200mph n the gears from the converter will be inaccurate.the electronic may be variable between dial set up but gear ratios do not change.

wer is the speedo run of the gear box coz i fink the electric is from sensors in thre wheel hub

if the speedo is frm the hub then wont make a differrence but the 2 applicatios have 2 be compatiable. meanin dails n converter
