I'm on standard boost, could that still have issues?
What are the symptoms of a knackered knock sensor?

no need to worry about it on stock setups
And you'd know about a faulty knock sensor

My advice lower boost or turn EBCs off during these months. It its cold enough to raise boost way up you shouldnt be boosting.
My 2p worth. To many 2s get sent to heaven around these coming months.

Running: 313.8BHP @ fly and 285lb torque on 1.15bar.

more boost
Can someone explain the logic behind this to me.
If I have an apexi avcr running on learn mode am I still at risk if its continually trying to main 1.2 bar?

I've got a stage 2 hybrid ct26 running 12psi as regulated by the actuator, no form of boost controller fitted, would this set up be at risk of overboosting? (other than the usual hybrid turbo/boost creep probs that can arise)

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Important announcement
Every car that is running a standard ecu with no fcd fitted (should) be safe because the factory fuel cut will sort you out if the boost ever gets that high, again its unlikely to be a problem in standard ish form because the ecu will be reading air inlet temps and adjust boost accordingly. Its only those cars running different ecu setups or those that have increased boost above factory and or removed/lifted fuel cut.
So in short if your running a normal 12psi and have your factory fuel cut in place, the cold weather is a license to enjoy the extra torque it generates.

is it me or do the roads seem more slippery than normal this year? even gentle driving round my way is interesting.

They have been fine for me so far, but not taking any chances that is for sure! Lovely day out there today, sooo tempting to go for a drive
