Re: [All] [Generic] Intercooler temps project
bumpage
- any further updates on this? How far away can the display be mounted?

Re: [All] [Generic] Intercooler temps project
really i'm just waiting on affiliate status, once i have that i'll start taking orders for the first batch of 10.

When i have that i'll order all the parts needed which will probably take a few weeks for the pcbs.

The display really is integrated into the unit and not designed to be remote located, however it is plug/socketed so a slightly longer cable could be used
but not very long, maybe 200mm tops.
This would be something an owner would do
'at their on risk'

I think Welsha's excited about this!

Ive got a specific IAT gauge that uses a themocouple and it seems to give totally different readings to what i got with Mr Welsh's thermocouple and multimeter combo, need to try them back to back and see whats happening!

yea i think so.
.
.
i only wish i could sell them at the moment!!

if someone is really desperate i do have one of my prototypes available to buy

incedentally, i have seen some differences in readings from different thermocouples.
I've also seen multimeters with k-type input with big errors so dont believe everything you see.

Thats why i'm keen to try this, it seems the multimeter is more accurate than the circa
£200 gauge built specifically for the job!
What are the proto's like, are they on breadboard or a proper PCB with the k-type sockets on it? PM me with how much you'd be after for one, i might try and build one into the dash somewhere!

Re: [All] [Generic] Intercooler temps project
it pumps but it aint cooling lol.
Shish's unit will allow me to monitor the water temps at the same time as the air so hopefully provide a solution to the problem I'm having.
