I,ve just bought an ARC intercooler for my rev 3 turbo has anyone else got one of these units, are they ok and how do they compare to others on the market?

I've tried searching for my answer but I find it difficult to find a specific topic, cheers!!

Excellent piece of kit.
The ARC replacement filters are very expensive but you can use a Pipercross panel filter for an RX7.Should cost around
£40.
Alternatively K&N also make a panel filter for RX7.Same size as Pipercross item.
Cost around
£50.

I've learnt since then and you have to take each part on it's individual merit.
Just because ARC do make some great IC's and rads for certain vehicle applications, it doesn't mean they are all great.
The ARC IC for the MR2 is only a good idea if you want to fit something that utlises the stock mounting points and set up with the minor benefit of a hardpipe kit.![]()
I never fully realised much benefit from my ARC, even with a Power FC and other bolt on breathing mods. However, as soon as I switched to a RadTec CC instead I jumped straight to 302 hp at the hubs, previously 250 using the ARC.
That speaks for itself.
By all means go for it if you want it- it is built fantastically well, just don't expect miraculous increases
- my experience was that they never surfaced.
good luck!
