Just to put your little claim to bed... A stock Evo will run low 13's with some even nudging into the high 12's with the right driver... I have got a Yaris that will outstrip your crappy time of 13.5

what's your favourite road - what time, where and when.

That will put it to bed - yellow belly. You will not be allowed to come onto an MR2 forum thrusting your chest and stinking of testosterone until you stump up!!

?HAHAHAHAAH!!!

Balls to you!

Check out your local 1/4 mile and look for standard Evo's!

What the book says, and what the car does are 2 totally different things!

Funny though mate, i just checked the times, and standard ones seem to run 13.4-13.9

The modded ones run a high 12's you deluded little man.

You got a stock Evo? what have you run?

300bhp Evo is probably around 120bhp at the wheels. Mr2 300bhp 250 at the wheels ish.

I wonder who is going to be faster!

I still see you acting like a little b1tch and not taking anyone up on a challenge!

Where are you balls?????

Does having an Evo mean they have been removed, because it would appear so!

Its obvious some of the MR2 owners still have an inferiority complex to the superior cars though ;) ;) Good day and god bless =;

It's obvious from 3 posts now that EVO owners don't drive their cars round corners or on the road where they are supposed to excel.. surely you can come and give us all a demonstration!

I tell you what, if your little EVO does indeed show a clean pair of heels to my inferior MR2, I'll even pay for your petrol, a shandy, and pub lunch.

I take you mean go road racing? Chav central!

This is the MR2 owners club isnt it and not the Nova owners club?

Show us how mighty the Evo is!!!

Prove we are all wrong.

Seems like your just another keyboard warrior, read something on the internet and belive the hype!

in reality you totally gutted that you paid THAT much for a car and it still doesnt out perform a 15 year old car.

Road racing = chav central... from an EVO owner?

BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

I actually had in mind a mildly spirited drive in the country to a pub for a ploughmans, a shandy, and a chat... that's how we do it down my way, not handbrake turning past schools!

Edited as I thought you meant a Golf R32! r32's are ok cars, need deep pockets to get the best out of them though, even an MR2 will do well agaist a standard one ;)

Im bored so i thought id join in,

Thought id share my experience with evo drivers last year i bumped into a guy i used to go to school with at york drag, Got chatting about cars and stuff I was in my rev1 tubby, asked him what car he was driving and he said evo 5 in the usual way like its the greatest car on earth and mines a peice of crap, I asked him what sort of mods he had done to his car he said it was running an Apexi PFC and 2bar of boost  making 450hp
I thought wow maybe he's not like the rest of em and he's got the goods to back his mouth up.

Then he proceded to run these time's

Catagory Dialin Reaction 60 Foot 1/8 ET 1/8 MPH 1/4 ET 1/4 MPH

13:45:08 RWYB CAR 0.00 1.263 2.290 9.068 77.790 14.070 99.280
15:09:50 RWYB CAR 0.00 0.864 2.278 9.003 4.840 13.986 99.090
15:19:16 RWYB CAR 0.00 1.365 2.566 9.879 4.430 15.081 94.310
15:35:30 RWYB CAR 0.00 2.799 2.352 9.242 4.770 14.210 99.630
15:40:28 RWYB CAR 0.00 1.028 2.624 10.027 4.420 15.183 97.440
15:51:09 RWYB CAR 0.00 1.033 2.067 8.922 4.960 13.928 99.290
16:02:20 RWYB CAR 0.00 1.103 2.212 9.254 4.780 14.297 99.150

Now just to show Im not like all evo drivers with a easily damadged ego here are my time slips.

Catagory Dialin Reaction 60 Foot 1/8 ET 1/8 MPH 1/4 ET 1/4 MPH
12:01:05 RWYB CAR 0.00 1.226 2.454 9.361 78.320 14.373 97.380
13:03:34 RWYB CAR 0.00 1.229 2.449 9.446 78.440 14.447 97.970
13:44:44 RWYB CAR 0.00 1.176 2.381 9.318 77.920 14.369 96.760
13:52:19 RWYB CAR 0.00 1.042 2.221 9.045 78.990 14.083 999.999

YES there are quicker times than mine from the evo however i thought i would use this as an example of the ammount of crap people talk I mean 450hp and high 13's I think evo's must be made of lead.

Oh my old rev1 was stock apart from a blueflame exhaust cost me £1700 and had 128,000 miles on it.

You sure about that?

Dont assume mate! You just make an ass of yourself! :)

If i spent 15k on a car i would have a car that was actually faster and better than the mr2.
The evo looks like a spotty 17 year old threw up on it.

Evo is way down the list on cars to own!

15k, can think of cars MILES better than Evo. Like an Exige, Corvette, M3, XJR.

It may be newer, but thats all it has going for it.

The youths driving it round my way, seem to think they have the best car around.
They have been educated!!!!
