Perhaps it's because the lights might be cheap replicas, not as good as the real mccoy huh?

I think I'm aware of that fact, just not sure why it needed pointing out.

Besides, having spoken to a couple of traffic coppers I would rather steer clear of blue lights, coz apparently it's their colour and they don't like anyone else having it!

When it comes down to it styling mods are a personal choice and as the old saying goes
"one mans meat is anothers poison".
If liberty likes the look then as long as these lights meet the legal requirements he should go for it.
Personally I wouldn't fit them as its not often you drive a 2 around with the headlights up but not on.
If they are on you wont see the eye effect and there can't be many times you should be driving around on sidelights only.
At least when you see a beemer with angel eyes you can see one pair thanks to the twin lamp layout.
Maybe if you had a set of Rogues Rev6 quad headlamps fitted with angel eyes it might be worth it.

Re: Angel Eyes
I reckon they look kind of fun.
Wouldn't get them cos of the wrong headlight pattern though.
