Thanks for the replies to my post. I agree with you, but was just raising awareness that some people may not be aware how tired some of the suspension is (even on a low mileage example), and to consider it when trying to improve the performance of the car. The mr2 on decent (stock) suspension can be chucked into corners better than most modern car drivers expect!

Good luck to everyone going for power mods. Yes it is big money, but not when you compare it to buying a modern car that already has power in the same ball park as an mr2 turbo.

I was also thinking of a 5s block but I've been looking for one for a long time and can't find them anywhere. If one turned up I'd probably grab it.

Nathan has one which he offered me a few months back.
