Just fitted an aerial to my MR2, that I bought form Jamitsi a member on this site.

I have now found out that there are at least 3 versions of the wiring of these aerials to the aerial relay box attached to the aerial.

In the knowledge base, there are 8 connections numbered 1 to 9, with No7 not used, 8 wires connected.

On the 1994 one I bought from Jamitsi, the connections are, 1 to 8 with all 8 pins used.

On the 1999 one I took off the pins are numbered 1 to 8 and only 7 used.

The Red with a White stripe isn't there as it was with the 1994 aerial.

As I knew that the motor on mine worked, I just swapped the wiring harness with the 3 connectors from my old 1999 aerial to the 1994 one fitted the aerial and it worked fine.

Happy but confused!!!
In the cct diagram in the knowledge base the Red/White pin 8 connection is used as a

+ve to raise the aerial and it stays raised until this pin goes to 0v.

If anyone knows why I would be interested Thanks Bill W.
