They are all much of a muchness.
Differences for the well known brands are all in the ease of use of the software, the support and the amount of features included for a given price.
Take a look at:
Motec
Aem
Vipec/link
Ecumaster
Hydra
QUOC2008 wrote:Ok thanks guys Motec seems to be the one I might go for..
.
but before I jump the gun I will let rstunning one more chance to get this right with their ecu.

Or Syvecs.
So many to choose from..
.another way to look at it is to decide who is going to map your car, then look at the ECUs they are prepared to work with.
For example Ryan maps Syvecs, Dave Rowe maps MoTeC, etc.
As for the MoTeC range- have a look at their website to see what they do.You probably want something like the M400, but keep an eye on ebay for second hand ones
(M400/M600/M800 would all work for you).

I would not give anyone a second chance, if they cannot get it right the first time why will they a second time.
I have a friend that had two engines blown up by the same company, and they were just stock engines

wow didnt know rstunning was that bad..
.
I was hopefully get them to just tweek the map so it would run smoother and the afr is quite bad on the low table dead spots and hard to drive in traffic.
I would love to know you guys go to map your mr2 and which is ideal ecu for 450-500bhp road use mainly

I'll reel you a little of my experience
I've got a Link G4 Storm
Nov 2014,after my engine rebuild.
After trawling through forums when to a guys who's meant to be the master Link mapper.
Result- was ok on boost but terrible in stop start traffic.
I'm only giving you half the story.
April this year when to Abbey Motorsport, same as above again a Link specialist with mostly work with Nissan.I was beginning to yearn for my OEM ecu.
Anyway took my car to Fensport a master Motec mapper, hardly touched a Link before. The upshot? My car runs and idle almost like a standard car.
I haven't been on a dyno again but I'm sure my car is much stronger than before.
Anyway within all this rambling, the advice is not only seek the best mapper for your ecu, look for someone who also knows about the 3S-GTE.
Can't recommend Adrian at Fensport enough and he told me he's still learning Link
