Looks identical to the kn I've got

All that was extra needed was a small cheap adapter and a tiny bracket and bobs your uncle a huge cheap but decent induction kit.

Note though I'm only using 2 ports on oem hose and using them not how they were originally setup out of factory.
I'm using one for my ati sensor and ported the other for my idle line.
My catchcan and recirc pipe for bov arnt needed.

I've got an ARC induction box, with HKS triple layer filter

but will be making a KO racing style intake when I get time.. no way i'd pay all that money for a couple of silicone hoses and an ebay alloy pipe.

I think the KO racing intake kit is a little bit more than an 'ebay alloy pipe and some silicon hoses' Not even expensive to be honest.

I didn't mean that to sound derogatory! no offence intended.. but really, it is "only" a 45 deg silicon joiner, a 45 deg pipe with stubs for the iacv, breather etc and a filter.

it is, however, a good design and what I would use myself.

Hey, no offence taken! I just didn't want it confusing with the likes of cheap ebay crap.

It's a quality piece of kit, albeit not much to it

Peter Gidden brought a few kits over from the US a while back, and I bagged a rev3 turbo one.

Also the ARC uses the same filter type as an FD RX-7 so there are plenty of options for filters.

Mine isn't actively "for sale" but I would part with it for the right money

I more than i wanted to for a brand new SUS blitz. Mainly because it was for a engine rebuild and I like the fact you can simply clean them with warm water when dirty.

Something like an Apexi or similar is good.

Apexi are superb

Agreed but discontinued you can get replacement filters from nengun I think.. so a second hand one is probably the way to go.

Are you sure the Apexi is discontinued, I imported a 507 - T007 through Nengum in May this year, and they still seem to be listed on their website:

the blitz filters don't really do a great deal of filtering unfortunately, they're very free flowing which is good for power but bad for small particles of dirt/dust passing through them. foam element filters are better but cotton is consistently best in reviews.

you cant go wrong with getting the biggest cotton cone filter that will fit and getting it as close to the side vent as possible

Apexi power intake, no power gains really but better throttle response and a lovely sound. You get a nice shiny rain guard too 8)

They are all much the same. It's a bit of pipe with a filter on the end.

IMO unless you have fitted something other than a CT series turbo, keep the stock airbox, fit an aftermarket panel filter if you must modify and save the money for something that will actually make more power.
