are the HKS Slide pulleys and HKS fine tune timing belt worth buying? or are the OEM ones just as good?
has anyone got any first hand experience with them? and the differences between the stock one to the HKS one?
cheers,
Jonny

Unless you're fitting aftermarket cams and uprated valve springs, not necessary.
Re: HKS pulleys & HKS fine tune timing belt any good?
ahh i see, i was just thinking of it being a stronger/better belt.
Re: HKS pulleys & HKS fine tune timing belt any good?
AFAIK the hks belt is stronger

Re: HKS pulleys & HKS fine tune timing belt any good?
The HKS belt is kevlar coated, so it is stronger...but with the same service intervals. Unless you have increased your rev limit, or are running high lift cam shafts. it would probably be a waste of money
Plus...from memory when Bob Hatton had a pair of the HKS pulleys tested they were significantly out of balance, and needed a lot of correction. On that basis if you are looking for after market pulleys I would probably avoid them.

I did read on here that it is a good mod to adjust your adjustable exhaust cam pulley to -6.

The HKS belt is a re branded Gates racing belt.. The gates one is cheaper.
