You'll find it tricky finding someone who will do it "for a bit of cash" in your driveway.

Firstly unless they're very lucky they'll need a compressor to undo the crankshaft bolt - it not unusual to need 300-400ftlbs of torque to undo. Secondly it's a 5-6 hour job, so expect to pay couple of hundred quid for a thorough job.

Can always use the starter motor to undo the crankshaft bolt if she is a bit tight :lol:

Agree that you should get it done properly, I did my own and it was hard work. My compressor is not man enough for the crank shaft pulley on most cars so I have to use the wife, the brakes and a breaker bar with a pole on the end.
