Racing Coil Overs

And therein lies your problem.

Coilovers were designed for track use, but it has become fashionable to put them on road cars.

Even worse, MR2 suspension travel is already limited, so by the time you have lowered it a further 35-45mm, you are left with something like 50-75mm of suspension bump

(compression).

Since it's not good practice to ride on the bumpstops, coilover springs have to be very stiff, so giving you and the car a harsh ride.

Whilst it is possible to adjust the damping, your spring rate is already defined for you, so to a large extent your stuffed with a hard, jarring ride.

Like i said, coilovers for the track, uprated struts/springs for the road.
