Well... the plan...... lol. I'm still not entirely sure, but initial thoughts are to spend a week stripping the car, then have the shell taken away. Really nervous about the kit removal though, and the prospect of making a mess of it!

I did a deal with him at £900, which is pretty good I reckon. Just hope the kit is good and I've made the right move!

BTW it does have some sort of skinny carbon mirrors on it :D

Couple of better photos:

Yeah that's right. Carbon bonnet is still with it. I've transferred the cash to him and will have it collected this week :)

What a bargain £900 quid! To source all those parts second hand separately you gotta be looking at a couple of grand at least. Did you physically go and view the car before buying or just take a punt? Sounds good for the money if the kit is decent and the coilovers and bonnet are good theres more than your monies worth straight off.

Just taken a punt and hoped for the best lol. I was worried it would go if I tried to wait it out and bid on it or find time for viewing.

looks real good for the money,
what are your plans as i see you are thinking about breaking your turbo,
wouldnt it be better to use it as a donor then sell the other bits?

you have the same problem as i do though......no fuel flap.
Jeff kindly emailed me a link to a usa ebay company,
ive emailed them twice but no reply :(
if you manage to source one please let me know
cheers

Invest in a bosch multitool - perfect for trimmimg/cutting bodykits. If you take the front wheels off youll be able to see the insuide of where the joins are which if your careful you should be able to slice apart :-)

Nice one, Buddy :thumleft:

The fibre glass kits are £2k plus mile delivery, with all the bits you can sell on you will probably find that this project is completely self funding.

Don't worry over removing the body kit, the advice on here is very good and I would also add not to cut corners on quality. If something needs to be glassed to make it tidy or to strengthen it, then do it. The result will be worth the effort.

John.

Yeah I hear that. Current line of thought is to do what I can myself and have a bodyshop do the rear arches and put the "hips" on. I don't want to screw it up.

I am worried about removal of the kit though, and not being able to find the rivets or damaging it.

Of course, since I wills crap the shell after, I could cut the panels off right under the rear quarter windows and find the rivets from the back of the panel?

in all honesty mate if you're worried about ruining the kit thats the way i'd do it too, will definately be a tidier job that way which will make it easier to re-atach later.

Cheers Jack.

If I cut it, how do I get it off around the sides of the boot area?
