leverage...y'know extension bars etc...slow but steadily increase the pulling power...leave it and come back tmrw with a fresh head on...sounds like you got the tools but some jobs are just a pain.

tried that lol been putting a steel bar over the racket to get more leverage its bites then just goes loose ,, had a guts full now try again on the weekend i think

Are you using a twelve sided socket or a six sided one?

need a deep 14mm socket for the mani to head bolts....better than using a spanner on those.
you should be able to get a socket over them all.

i was only using a socket on the manifold , the deep ones where 6 i think barrowed them from amate ,, to be honest the nuts are wrecked now trying to tap on the bolt removal things .. not sure wot else todo now,, my mate surgested welding on a washer then a bolt but dont think theres enough room to weld under tha manifold its pretty tight . im all outta ideas wasthinking about cuting a line in the stud with a drimmel and then trying a flat headed screw driver :?:

thats wot i used ,, i smacked them on ,,pulled slowly and u could feel it cut in and then it would slip off and there would be bits of metal off the nut ,,kept trying for hours ,, have no idea wot else to do ,,

By the sounds of it you're only going to make things worse. There are ways to deal with these things. I say take it to a pro before you make a real mess!

cheers for the help ,but i think im going to bow out on this before i willy it up even more and make it expensive job lol

take it too the local garage see what they can do ,,bit of treck taking it down to u at pacific works

where the best place to get the manifold gaskets and turbo housing gasket from ,,, dont really want to go to toyota as they charge too much

wtf 70 quid for the manifold gasket from toyota .. is the rev2 the 9 hole gasket

finally got that bolt out and stud ,, to prime the turbo i was told to pull out the emf fuse and turn the ignition over about 10 times,, then run the engine is this correct and hope no leaks
