Benny (mr2-pilot) and i am looking for a transportation for people that want to come by plane. The best way for you would be a flight to Berlin, from there we would organize a van or bus and drive you to Duderstadt and back. Would be best from Thursday to Monday. Thats the cheapest way to go to Duderstadt from the UK, flights aren't that expensive and you won't be as tired as having an 16 hours trip in a car....

This is only an short information to think about it :)

Ooh Toni, now we are thinking that a Ring trip is relatively pointless in Pat the Panda (we'll wait till next year when I get a quick car again), I am trying to persuade Mark that Duderstadt would be a good idea as I'd really like to get abroad this summer (it's been way too long).

It would be fun don't ya think. :eye:

Yeah, I reckon it would! Indy has passed her rabies thing, so passport will be sorted and it will be post 6 months by then. So that's cool.

Would love a bit of a road trip (even in Pat) and it would be lovely to get back to Germany again. I reckon we ought to go for it. Might start a thread on TBP. :+:

Really gutted to hear that Si. I was chatting to Neil about you coming to Duderstadt only the other week.

Hope it's not too painful and you can get back behind the wheel again soon.

Oooh sounds good to a relative newbie to the club. Finally sorted my lack of 2 out. Cheated in the end and bought a new one lol

Gonna keep an eye on this and might come :)

Well as you said Lauren, ring would be relatively pointless in pat, so you make it so too! :-)

Also should have a passenger seat available

Dates - and half way stop off

Post by paul port »

Hi All...

In order to make use of a £66 special offer from Sea-France I'm booking my ticket today.

My plan is to leave on Thursday 28/07/2011, and spend the night at the Nurburgring. Return on Monday as before.

There is an evening opening at the 'Ring 28.07.2011 - 17:15 >> 19:30
And it happens to be about half way from Dover.

Overall this diversion adds only 141Km (88 Miles) to the 872Km journey!

My booking in case anyone is interested

Outward Sailing
Operator: Seafrance
Route: Dover to Calais
Departure: Thu 28 Jul 11 06:40

Return Sailing
Operator: Seafrance
Route: Calais to Dover
Departure: Mon 1 Aug 11 21:55

I've gone for a later return, remember you gain an hour on the way back... Cite Europe will be open late for shopping... and I don't have far to drive anyway ;o)

That's the plan. :+:

Thankfully the AC works so we ought not to be too well done by the time we arrive.

Depending if Tom comes or not, we may have room for a rear seat passenger who will need to share with Indy.

Still should be a fun road trip. :+:

Good news for me, bad news for the rest of you:

My last exam is provisionally on the 29th, so I should be able either to get a later crossing on the 29th or an early one on the 30th and get to Dudetown for lunchtime on the Saturday.
