Duderstadt 2011!!! **Dates confirmed 29th July - 31st July**

Yep...it was that good I am listing the event now.

One of the best social gatherings i have been to. Its not just about the cars in Duderstadt. The people, the town itself, the drink, food, atmosphere etc is fantastic.
If you fancy a road trip, and to meet some new people then this is the meet for you.

Malc, can you have a look at the alternative ferries we discussed? I can't find any out of Harwich to Germany any more (I found something saying there used to be one but it closed down).

Checked out the Ferry, no longer one to Hamburg, it goes to Cruxhaven in Denmark.

Cost of trip for last weekend in July 2011, including cabin hire (overnight ferry). A staggeringly cheap £784!!!

I think in 2011 do what we did this year, but leave on Thursday, camp half way, get to Dudestown on Friday and on way back, leave on Sunday, camp half way and then finish the trip on the Monday.

If that's the case and we use the same ferry I think the way we did it this year worked pretty well... I'd be happy to do that again.

I'd prefer to take my time gettign over, drive some roads other than motorway, make the journey part of the trip. Shouldn't cost much more to do that, also means we have a greater margin for making the ferry.

I just checked my calendar for next year and I have exams for most of July and into August so won't be able to go.
