Here's a quick list of what i can think of.... Although some may argue these may not be 'cheap' and not to everyone's taste (or mine :-# ) but they are examples

1 ) Swap Cloth Seats for Leather Seats
2 ) Swap Cloth Door cards for Leather Door Cards
3 ) Lazy Eye Kit
4 ) HID's
5 ) Rev 3 Rear Light Conversion
6 ) N/A to Turbo Engine LID
7 ) Bulb - LED Dial conversion
8 ) Bulb - LED Heater panel conversion
9 ) Audi LED Style Side Lights
10 ) Tint Spray On Rear Lights

The following are interchangeable and fairly cheap

1) Nuts
2) Bolts
3) Light Bulbs

:D I needn't go on lol

Plus as said above there are plenty on the site, it just depends how good you are with DIY'ing

I added a 79p switch from maplin to my headlight control box.

Problem is when you have sidelights on then flash your headlights, once the light has gone off the pop ups remain up but turned off!

This switch means they pop back down again when set to off or work in the standard manner when set to on

I knew I should have taken more pictures!

If you look into the connector on the headlight retract box you will see the pins are numbered. You want pin 6.

Now open the headlight retract box and on the reverse of the connector I snipped where the pcb joins to pin6.

Now solder a wire from the pcb to the switch.
Then solder a wire from the reverse of pin6 to the switch.

The switch just acts to break the connection between pin6 and the pcb.

I used a dremel to cut a hole in the headlight control box and some mini files to get it the right shape for the switch to fit in. The switch is a mini rocker from maplin 79p.

I soldered the wires at the retract box end and used crimps to attach at the switch end.

Not cheap unless you can get one in your colour.

Best mod I did was the folding mirrors 8)
Definitely not cheap though #-o

One thing that I think makes a difference is getting the clear front and side indicators, makes the car look soo much more modern in my opinion.

Another thing you can do which makes a big difference is colour code the side strips and sills. 8)

Turbo lid is lighter if you remove the under tray/rain shield thing.

Ive done this to mine it lets so much more heat out. Just not so good when it rains lol.

What used to be a blanking plate in my heater control, where others have their A/C control buttons, now functions as an independent switch controlling my aerial so I can leave it down when listening to CDs and stop my 2 looking like a radio controlled toy.

Add a bit of paint detailing to distinguish your car as well, individual, cheap and easy.

Just find the aerial power and splice a switch in. The blanking 'plate' needs to be cut down and its internal plastic moulding cut out (careful with the stanley knife!) then in my case we just glued inside it one of the duo of A/C buttons from another unit. Of course you could put a switch anywhere but this way there's nothing apparent.

PS. If you look at the interior pic in my garage the old blanking 'plate', now working button I'm referring to is directly above the knob for adjusting the fan strength on the heater control unit.
