When clutches go bad...!

Thought I'd share these pictures with you all. At Castle Combe one of our hire drivers got a fantastic launch from the lights followed by a loud bang as she grabbed second gear and a loss of drive. Here's what we found when we got it up in the air:



Seems the clutch cover had had enough and decided to exit the gearbox at speed. Here's what's left of the 'box:

Seriously though, just luck the remnants of the clutch decided to exit from the underside of the gearbox, or by design??

Thats impressive never seen one that bad although i have heard of the flywheel exiting and goin through the firewall like a ripsaw. Bit of liquid metal and your good to go
