When clutches go bad...!

Thought I'd share these pictures with you all. At Castle Combe one of our hire drivers got a fantastic launch from the lights followed by a loud bang as she grabbed second gear and a loss of drive. Here's what we found when we got it up in the air:

Seems the clutch cover had had enough and decided to exit the gearbox at speed. Here's what's left of the 'box:

Women drivers eh... :wink: :lol:

Seriously though, just luck the remnants of the clutch decided to exit from the underside of the gearbox, or by design?? :-s

that sucks, what bhp is the engine putting out?

She did a good job! :mrgreen:

New bellhousing and good to go :thumleft:
TOTB 2010 Rwd top speed, 1/4 and shootout winner.
10.7@142 on R888 street tyres, 10.3@134mph on slicks,
9's on slicks to come, with a clean full throttle pass! Goal of 0-150mph in a 1/4 of a mile....

Thats impressive never seen one that bad although i have heard of the flywheel exiting and goin through the firewall like a ripsaw. Bit of liquid metal and your good to go :whistle:

Stock rev 3 n/a engine with an OE equivalent clutch.
