Going out on a limb here, but isnt the car at the top of this thread a Peugeot 406 and not a MR2? Look at the dash and the glass lines/shapes.

it had a pretty much identical body, a lovely ride height and a huge brembo brake conversion that gave it a sense of performance in terms of looks, for sure!) and I can appreciate why someone would want one.

A clutch and fitting would set you back thousands of pounds, along with all the other associated running costs of a true supercar compared to a jap sports car.

I know what car I would rather receive the servicing charges for! And I guess if its their dream car and they cant afford the running costs of a F355/whatever other supercar you want to make your

I do however cringe when I see a badly converted replica.

They look truly awful, especially the fake brake disks and calipers sandwiched between the wheels and the hub.
