Hi,
I was hoping someone out there may be able to help me or offer advice.
I have a 1994 jap import 2.0 G-ltd T-Bar Auto. I know that many vehicles come over from Japan restricted which leads me to believe mine may also be.
At high speed (dual carrigeway) the engine changes through the box into top gear but at around 110 mph or sustained acceleration at about that speed the engine revs are cut. Though the ignition stays on and all systems work the acceleration slumps as if some kind of fuel starvation is there or restrictor device is fitted. Has anyone heard of this? Is it a common occurance and what is the method for removing or modifying. Also I assume there are specialist companies that undertake this work but can anyone suggest one?
My mates girlfriend blew me away the other week....in a SAXO!!!!

Evening.
You can buy a de-limiter kit from Ebay ... plugs into the GearBox ECU if I remember correctly.

That might prove useful, I see your based in west sussex too so where are you based and what is the approximate cost of this black box (fitted).
Re: de-restriction of engine with auto box
or spend £150 and get a apexi rsm so you can have a toy to play with aswell as speed cut
Re: de-restriction of engine with auto box
i can supply the converter box for £48 inc vat plus P&P, fitting would be about 1 hour.
Total cost including fitting would be £60.00

Yeah cos 110mph isn't fast enough on a 70mph road? If you want to race get on a track rather than using dual carriageways and putting everyone elses lives at risk. What enjoyment can you get out of racing a saxo?
This is whats starting to give the MR2 a bad name and calling us chavs!
