i run a gt3076 63 trim full boost by about 3700
without a full map (had to abort run)we reached 405 whp

i was getting full boost (1.2bar) by 2.9-3k rpm on my old 2 with a ct20b

i'm probably going for a 3071r .63 once my engine is run in, but that might change once Nick takes me for a spin in his 2 with the 3076r (graph above^)

3071 is slightly quicker but can not push as much power as the 3076

im struggling to find info on the 3071 and 3076.

whats the max power these acheive? and revs they can reach full boost?


really im after a turbo that is smooth in power delivery that kicks you back but doesnt jump out at you all of a sudden like the bigger, laggier turbos.

most of all i want it to be driveable and enjoyable on a track, not just on the drag strip.

i would go for the 3076 mate , love the way it works starts pulling well from 3000 then at about 3700 is when all hell breaks loose,the last time me bro went out in the car it was not mapped at the time when the power came in he said it felt like some had put there hand on his head & yanked it back lol, as for power i think the 3076 63 trim is good for 515 bhp approx

blitz k1 380v if you can find one. std bolt on but is pefect for what your after.

When people are talking about full boost by X amount of revs. What gear are your refering to???? All gears will get your slightly different results for full boost.
I asume your talking about 3/4 gear. Ie your dyno gear to see graphs of the spool.

At the risk of looking really dumb, why would gearing have an effect on the boost threshold? Surely boost threshold is determined soley by the gas flow through the engine at certain rpm and the characteristics of the turbo you are running?

Load.

Higher gears give higher load which means more gasflow and faster spool.

exactly...
for example i can hit full boost in 5th at 3.9-4k rpm, but in second, may not be til 4.5k. depends if im flying through the gears or not as well.
