Sound more like you have a frayed inner cable jamming or something, can't imagine it either works or is seized with nothing in between, has it been sticking a while.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Strangled at high RPM or normal?
Loser - well worth changing the clutch fluid with some fresh, as you probably know brake fluid is hydroscopic and will develop the spongy feel over time. The other thing to check is the rubber pipe which is next to the slave cylinder, gearbox end. This is one of the few perishable parts of the circu...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Mk2 Turbo - sub 1100kg - No carbon - No glass fibre
just paying attention to detail and chipping away at the weight is the way to do it, stuff like removing engine hoist brackets, and bits that are less obvious. I have one of the rear hubs removed at the moment  8-[ :cyclops: That is attention to detail... :D Whareabouts in derbyshire are you...

Take proper photo's too, none of this digital nonsense :silent: Digital images don't stand up as evidence, too easy to play with, film photo's do. I know it's easy to kill engines with chilled iron, I once did the same thing with the inlet manifold and wondered why the valve setas kept dying...
