Also, Do not forget to do the coolant hoses under the turbo nicknamed the Hose from Hell, and Hose from Hell on earth [part # 16282-88480] & [16281-88461] And while you are in there, i'd check the valve clearances. it's more than likely than most of your valves will be out of spec by now. Good i...

On a street car? stock 3S? Yes, no doubt. Very peaky, but all depends on what you are looking for. Not bad for a drag race car, but there are better turbo's out there.
You can expect more response from a new PTE 6262 or GT35 with much more potential.

If no boost leak found, learn the current settings of the Apexi AVCR, it's your bosot controller after all.
Learn how it works and adjust carefully.

Re: Feeler thread: Apexi Power FC
Why not just put the price on it?? Seeing as the last 3 units on here sold for £650 delivered, i'll set mine a little lower than that. (Or Best Offer) Technically I already have a buyer pending, he's just taking a while to send the cash, so I was seeing if there is anybody seriously interested befo...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Turbo Fuel Pump Replacement
Dropping the tank is really not that bad. I did it by myself the first time, in a couple of hours. The car needs to be jacked up on all four corners, and you're gonna drop it on one end first. It's really a good idea to empty the tank as much as possible. That way you avoid having it fall and dent ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] A question for anyone running 264 cams with standard rev 3 ECU
No, But I was running GSC 268 High lift cams on stock ecu at one point. But i hadn't degreed them on the stock ecu as I knew the idle would suffer. Like I said before, most people install them straight up (@0) while still on the stock ecu, because the more you adjust them, the more your idle quality...

Re: water pump gasket
it's difficult to find because usually it comes pre-installed with the water pump. And the water pump comes as a whole, front and back part already bolted together with the gasket in between.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] A question for anyone running 264 cams with standard rev 3 ECU
What are the cams set at at the cam gears? It really depends on a couple of factors, but typically the idle quality will suffer the more you play with the cams on the stock ecu. Besides, setting your cams per HKS cam card is good and all, but you really should go to the dyno and adjust them there an...

Each to their own, But as the OP asked how difficult it was, I assumed that he had never done it before and doesn't have much experience or tricks necessary. I mean we all know these cars have alot of tricks to get a job done that might seem simple. I personally already had all the tools like engine...

Re: Cam belt
Trust me, it's easier and faster to Drop the engine. It may sound like a hell of a job, but it's easier than you think. Especially if you are considering doing the cambelt with the engine in the car. Drop the engine along with crossmember and suspension and everything. That's the way to do it. Like ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] GT3582R advice - Cam choices
First of all, what are your power goals? what are you gonna be doing to with the car and what powerband would you like to have? what's your current turbo setup? Very important to answer these truthfully to yourself. Don't get caught up in the deals you get. Building you engine around a particular tu...

Re: rev 4 turbo
Since you are not talking numbers, I assume you mean the stock boost gauge(?).
If so, don't even bother looking at it as it basically doesn't tell you anything. No numbers for reference. It's useless. Get a real boost gauge that can precisely measure the boost pressure.

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Air filter change
It's a very straigtforward airbox like any other. There are some clips around it that you should remove and the top part can be pulled out. It is highly recommended to remove the airbox & resonator and install a pod filter in it's place. That should free up some hp as the engine will breathe a b...

I've been wanting to swap my OEM lsd for some time now for the Quaife unit.
Only thing is i've never opened up the E153 before and I don't want to bite more off than I can chew.
Can any of you comment on the difficulty of the job if you did it yourself?
