Great car.
Fantastic engineering and shows what can be done when no expense if spared.
Can't wait to see it run down the strip!

Re: Is this a low mileage Rev 1 a good buy?
It is legit, the mileage adds up. It was just off the road between 2007 and 2012 and appears to have not been driven much. Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] MR2 KM2 Rev 1 Turbo: 19 mpg standard?
Yes, check the BGB - https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B-dpUpxzr96YMDdMcjJTcE1BNTQ there's a reference chart of resistance vs temperature for the ECU temp sensor - it's just a thermistor. There's also a troubleshooting section that lists the common causes of poor fuel consumption. HI mate, thanks f...

I have not. I just redid the wiring the connectors.
Is there a method?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] MR2 KM2 Rev 1 Turbo: 19 mpg standard?
Hi, I'll check the plugs, might get a AFR meter but I know it is over fueling just trying to work out why. Maybe the lambda sensor is shot. I did redo the wire to the lambda sensor as it had melted which may not be sensible but I think it just gives a voltage but this may have changed the resistance...

[Mk2] [Turbo] MR2 KM2 Rev 1 Turbo: 19 mpg standard?
HI, I have a MR2 MK2 Rev 1 Turbo with uprated inter-cooler, intake, 3" decat and huge exhaust, 1 bar boost. The car is sound, no fault codes, runs like a dream... but I only get around 18-20 mpg no matter how I drive it, it is usually driven off boost as if I gun it I can visibly see the fuel g...

I don't know the pins, If I had a diagram or knew the pins I would.
It's a 1991, rev 1 turbo, import.

Error code 52: Knock sensor open circuit
Hi,
has anyone found this to be a broken wire/connection anywhere?
I can't see anything so assuming it is the faulty sensor.
Thanks

Weak wastegate? With video.
Hi, can you tell if my wastegate actuator is weak from this video? I'm getting huge lag from 1-3000 rpm as I come on boost, 0-0.8 bar and I think it is because my actuator is very weak. I have an electronic boost controller but I think even that isn't stopping the effect. I connected a foot pump and...

MR2 MK2 Rev 1 Turbo Injector seals
Hi,
does anyone know where I can get these or an alternative car? Or the dimensions?
The seals that seat the injector in the head.

Re: Error codes 14/34/52.... intermittent cut out at mid range coming onto boost.
Hi, duly noted, I will be running 98 from now on. I found there was an air leak, the bolt on the fuel rail had worked itself about a half inch loose. Tightened this up and there is still a leak, WD40 proved it. So, I'll have to take the intake manifold off this weekend and make sure everything is ti...

Re: Error codes 14/34/52.... intermittent cut out at mid range coming onto boost.
OK chap. Seems the most logical course of action and I'm not into wasting money. I'll report back in a few days. I leave the EFI fuse out for an hour? Fill it with 98RON (Shell V Power or similar), reset the ECU first, go from there, especially as you've replaced parts and not reset the ECU since. A...

Re: Error codes 14/34/52.... intermittent cut out at mid range coming onto boost.
Hi thanks, How do I clear the codes? I couldn't find a guide for that. I bought a new ignitor recently. It may be from the old one. Code 34 is overboost. That will go away if you clear codes and don't hit it again. Code 14 is the ignition signal, it's probably not the ignitor, so my money would be o...

Error codes 14/34/52.... intermittent cut out at mid range coming onto boost.
Hi, I spent the weekend sorting out my MR2 as it had poor throttle respons, cbad fuel economy and the wastegate was catching on the down pipe. So I found a leak and ground the downpipe down. I also found the lamda sensor wire was brunt through!! Causing the poor fuel economy. I also had a MIL light ...

MR2 Turbo rev1 distributor information
Hi
Does anyone have any information of the distributor and how it varies the ignition timing?
I'm wondering the limits of the system.
Has anyone put a standalone ecu, injectors, turbo and used the stock ignition system?

Thanks for the replies
I'll take it off and see what he issue is.
The bottom corner towards the front of the car lifts away from the car over 8-90mph.

Side window is loose
Hi
My side window is coming loose and is letting in air so is rather noisy
Is it just glued in?
Do I just rip it off and glue it back in?
