Re: 350bhp/392 torques

I'm assuming you still have the stock ecu? This is not mappable so you will also need an engine management system so you can control the fuel flow. What size injectors are you going for? If you are going for 550 injectors I'd consider selling your rev 2 and getting a rev 3 it will be cheaper and if...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] rev2 boost problem

you need to upload your pics to a website, flickr, photobucket etc....I use facebook as it's easy to do from the phone, anyway, once you upload them, you need to right click on the photo, then go to "copy image URL" come to your post on here and above the text box you'll see a wee button ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] rev2 boost problem

I'm not 100% what boost a rev2 should run, i'm sure fuel cut is at 12-13psi so maybe around 10psi? Bear on mind again the boost is limited in 1st and 2nd. Adding a boost controller will sort this. Makes a massive difference. ok so a manual boost controller will sort the drop in boost? I hope so. i ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] rev2 boost problem

Yeah that doesn't sound right, make sure the actuator is moving freely, i would also check for error codes, i assume it doesn't have a boost controller? no no boost controller not yet tomorrow I am going to check the actuator now what am i looking for when i do this :) sorry I am a novice but i am ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] rev2 boost problem

What gear did you check the boost in? The boost is limited in 1st and 2nd gear to around 7psi i believe. Try a pull in 3rd, the boost does tail off at about 6k rpm. i tested and noted a loss in boost through all the gears took it on the m6 so was able to hold the gears. However, it loses...drops bo...

Re: 350bhp/392 torques

Well I thought it may have been a little sugar coated. It was quicker than my stock rev2 a lot quicker 😔 I want mine to be around that power. I don't want to rebuild the lump with forged pistons and things unless I have to. Meaning until I destroy it. I have the following parts here read...

350bhp/392 torques

I had a play in a 350bhp rev2 turbo today which was fun :D
now the owner claims that this car has standard internals, injectors and turbo
he is using a boost controller and a upgraded fuel pump.

now i am not calling him a liar but.... is this achievable on standard internals etc???

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] power

Ok went for a drive this morning and I noticed that the rev counter is jumping! And I mean really jumping (I have a video but don't know how to upload it) but it's not running lumpy at all

There is no rough ideal or anything. What can this be?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] power

I'd be interested to see what power/boost, the rev2 block cracked. When they go, it does seem to be around the water pump- and not necessarily boost related....I suspect it may have something to do with if/ how folk have deleted the air con and whether a certain bolt for the a/c tensioner is replac...

manifold is from the usa cost me £1400 it better not crack on me. I'm always out there so get parts pretty cheap when i can. I'm going to stick to these parts for now and get it running right. as it need painting (paint fade) and the interior sorting i'll start there first. so on my stage2 list i ha...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] power

well i am looking for around 400 if this mean a engine rebuild then i will but i was under the assumption that toyota lumps are strong and could handle it.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] power

Realy does depend on what bolt-on's your thinking of adding to it . Rev2's can handle quite a bit done right :thumleft: ok sofar i have brought a manifold decat pipe and deciding on what exhaust single or twin exit TD05-20G from a scooby, dump valve, intercooler (but I am thinking in the location t...
