So if it's a standard non LSD box does this mean that the hole diameter is the same as the shaft diameter all the way through, I will post a pic up if needed

Re: Decat heat wrap

I've just refitted my decat with DEI titanium heat wrap on it and I've also wrapped the IC cold pipe with DEI reflect-a-gold and the difference is noticeable, had to turn the boost controller down and the pipe was cool to the touch after a hard run Hi there, great news you seem to have had the same...

lsd gearbox

Presuming everything is stock (i.e. stock Toyota LSD etc) then look in the holes the driveshafts go in. If you can see all the way through then it's non LSD. If there is a bar in the middle then it's LSD. There is a spacer in the middle with a 10-12mm hole in that you can see through so its not the...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Rev 2 Turbo Oil Cooler and relocation kit

Thanks all I am just going to go for the relocation kit, the oil cooler was just a thought because there isn't a huge difference between the the two on price and I thought I may do it all together. My car isn't pushed to its limits and I don't want to get bogged down with thermostats and other tech ...

oil cooler

Thanks for the responses, I was originally looking at just the mocal relocate kit but then saw the one with the cooler rad and the braided hoses, not really bothered about the rad as my car is only tipping 250bhp, I am not into big BHPs as I drive my car on country lanes and moorland roads. My car i...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Rev 2 Turbo Oil Cooler and relocation kit

Hi I have been looking at oil filter relocation kits to move my filter on my rev2 turbo from its current location to the drivers side corner in the space behind the strut tower and forward of the boot. I can either just relocate or relocate and introduce an oil cooler. I have seen a kit with a rad 2...

Re: Decat heat wrap

Hey as I said it's worked for me. My car is just a weekend toy I just use it as a reliable usable car that can handle the twisty roads were I live not really into the anal aspects of it all. Just thought that posting up what had worked for me might help someone out. don't really want to get into deb...

Re: Decat heat wrap

I agree with Ashley,s last post but the mr2 is a very different animal to most turbo charged cars and given that most turbo owners are running 3" plus diameter exhausts my feelings and findings are that there are more gains in wrapping the exhaust and keeping bay temps down against any minimal ...

Exhaust wrap

The following paragraph is from one of the best tuning books on MR2s "Being bolted directly to the business side of the turbo charger, the down pipe sees an incredible amount of heat, as exhaust gas temps can rise well over 1000 degrees f. wrapping the exhaust is a way of keeping heat in the do...

Re: Bc racing coilovers

My skill level is fairly high, with regards to torque settings these are based on various factors not always related to original equipment. If you read my 1st post on this I am not being harsh just being realistic £750 for a suspension set up and the instructions say nothing regarding fitting surely...
