Is the MBC FCD BG as simple and effective as it sounds?

Is the MBC, FCD and BG mod for a gain of 10whp per 1psi increase in power for a Turbo really as simple and effective as it sounds or is it fraught with problems and reliability issues?
REV1 Turbo with 65k miles and runs well.

Re: Power Steering brushes

I've not checked the fault code. If there is a fault code stored does the engine management light glow on the dash?
I will check the forums to find out how to do this unless you don't mind explaining the procedure.
Thanks

Power Steering brushes

My power steering light is constantly on but the power steering works fine apart from the pump being slightly noisy. I'm hoping it's just the brushes as I think they have a simple sensor on them when they get too short. Has anyone changed them and would they be able to help?

Re: You know you drive an MR2 when....

When your wife thinks it's horrible to drive and you are secretly pleased she won't be using in it very much.

When you are the wrong side of 40 and think to yourself "do I look stupid driving this car?" but then think I don't give a s*** coz I love it.

Re: Help identifying this car and making a purchase decision.

Just had a thought, ask him for the chassis no, I've seen something on the net that has the manufacture date, rev etc. I'll have a look.

Re: Help identifying this car and making a purchase decision.

Looks like a REV3, do you have a picture of the engine? In my experience the only way to find out what it's like is to go see it, sellers descriptions are not always accurate.

Hi all, I've just joined IMOC as you look a friendly lot and the Forums are very helpful. I'm on my second MR2 which is a REV1 turbo that I bought very cheap but touch wood has turned out to be a good buy, as well as being quite quick and handled extremely well round a very wet Blyton Park My previo...
