Re: [Mk2] [NA] NA Emissions (again)

Turns out that due to a high Co count on the second idle test along with the HC results, the catalytic convertor was faulty. The supplier is sending a full refund! Score. :thumleft:

Re: [Mk2] [NA] NA Emissions (again)

Good read, thanks for the link.

So the lambda sensor is giving out normal voltages and there's no error codes up and can't find any leaks in exhaust so according to that page it has to be the cat. An email has been sent to the supplier along with test results. Will wait to see what they say.

[Mk2] [NA] NA Emissions (again)

Afternoon all, I have searched a few times now and see this has been covered a lot but cant really see an answer to the problem, so please bear with me :D My rev 3 has just been put through an emissions test prior to an MOT and it failed on CO on both fast idle and second idle. The results were 0.5%...

Re: Braided brake lines - recommendations / ones to avoid?

I've got the HEL ones from camskill and making decent brackets up was a pain, I've ended up with a clamp thing made of tin and lined with rubber gasket to grip it. You'll never make a quality looking item like the goodridge ones though. The HEL lines are good quality though, just a shame they aren't...

Re: new goodies... who can set up coilovers in fife?

If you get everything sorted try progrip in larbert to set it up, he knows his stuff, he's set up my coilovers on my old Clio and just done an alignment on my mr2. :thumleft:
Good luck getting it all sorted!

Re: just bought an mr2, will it survive a track day?

I bought mine for a grand totally standard, just changed discs, used yellowstuff pads and hel braided lines then gave it a service. Threw it round track all year and not a problem other than an alternator as it was sat in the rain between trackdays! Using good quality tyres made a massive difference...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Which EBC pads?

I use yellowstuff on my na for track use and they seem fine, I get fade after about 15mins but that's very hard use that you wouldn't get on the road. They work great from cold too as I use the car on the road.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] roll cage pictures please

Yea thats what I meant, just using a larger piece of metal to spead load but instead of making the feet bigger just add a larger sheet underneath? that means if it did go over then it would have to get through the second spreader too. I have emailed safety devices about the cage and its mounting poi...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] roll cage pictures please

yea i have just read his whole build, got carried away when i was searching for answers! it is impressive and has given me an insight into how they fit in as all this trackday/motorsport is very new to me so didnt quite know how they fit. Do you reckon you could 'sandwich' a bigger spreader plate be...

[Mk2] [Generic] roll cage pictures please

Evening all. Has anyone got any pictures of a bolt in cage for the mk2? Specifically the mounting points? I'm after a rear cage but have been advised that the rear windows may need to come out to weld in feet plates if they are up on the rear shelf, and that's the only design of cage I can find. So ...
