Re: Clutch line parts question

Hey Yeah I found out the pipes weren't available too, so I had to make my own. It was a right pain in the ar$e fitting it back together and I only managed to get one mounting bolt to line up. With the access so limited I ended up taking off the bracket holding the various pipes and still struggled f...

Clutch line parts question

Hi,

I'm needing to replace one section of clutch pipe and screws so my question is- What size and thread is the male screw end for the 6mm pipe?

Also I have a wanted post here, if anyone has spare parts.

Thanx

Re: Opinions on this ICE setup?

Yeah I figured that putting them forward would mean the seats wouldn't obstruct the projection and distort the stereo image. It also puts them at roughly the same distance from my ears as the tweeters for phase coherency... In saying all that I've not heard it yet cause I'm still waiting on a few th...

Re: Opinions on this ICE setup?

I went ahead and made some up, square boxes made of plywood/cardboard/carpet that sit snuggly in the door cards. With only a little but of cutting of the door. They look alright and I still need to connect up the amp but head over to my mod thread to let me know what you think.

Re: Quaigy's mod thread

I've got a wee update, wired in some door speakers but still have to connect the amp etc. Also fitted my skirts but still need a little finishing off... just in time for winter

Re: Rotten Floor (Advice PLEASE)

Yeah I agree, check the front cross member too. Might be worth checking around the drain plugs (1 near your feet and one under the seat if I remember correctly), just pull up the carpet once the seats are out. Since that was the source of some of my rust issues. The thing is it's best getting it all...

I'd be happy to come along now that the welding has been done (common theme  )

Just give me a couple of weeks notice so I can make time.

Re: INSURING A MK1.

I'm paying £560 for 15K miles fully comp 6 years NCB and I'm 27. Thats with flux and the car is standard. I reckon thats alright, certainly cheaper than when I had the Celica. Am I the only Mk1 daily driver here :?: That's not okay mate, that's awful! I was with Flux a few years ago when my 3 point...

Re: Opinions on this ICE setup?

Any pics would be greatly appreciated! I've bought some components, not the ones in the link, I bought JL Audio instead cause the postage was ridiculous on the other ones.

Re: Opinions on this ICE setup?

On another note I take it the lights behind the dash speedo and tach are the usual 5w capless? and therefore I should be able to get the LED cluster things to fit. Before anyone shouts at me its a daily driver and would rather only take the dash apart once, searched on here and I know the warning li...

Re: Opinions on this ICE setup?

I've just been out to measure up and found that there is a space about 5cm deep from the inner door skin to the window when it's down. Coupled with the 3.5cm from the door card to the front of the pocket there should be plenty of depth with some cutting of the inner door skin for width of the magnet...

Re: Opinions on this ICE setup?

I've had a quick measure up and there is 3.5cm from the front of the door card to the back, I haven't taken the door cards off yet to see what room is behind them but I'll do that soon. I'm guessing I'll add another 1cm onto the door card for the mounting so I'm looking for 1.5cm or more behind the ...

I have used copper for my brake lines and it was pretty easy to use without a bending tool, dunno about the clutch though.

Opinions on this ICE setup?

Hey I'm looking to upgrading my existing Sound system setup. I have a thin sub which is good for the kick (80hz ish) but cant really handle bass/low mid so I have spotted this setup... http://www.madisoundspeakerstore.com/auto-kits/hi-vi-f1500-5-2-way-autosound-system/ I have a 2 channel amp 250W ma...

Body work!

Hey just a quick update, after getting the rear driverside triangle panel welded in I tried fitting my side skirt and guess what.... my car is about 1.5 cm longer on that side! now I dunno who to blame, the welder or the guy who made the panel but I've had to modify the triangle skirt piece and I'm ...
