wow that harness has been botched, whatever the cause may be for the noise, I would advise sorting that mess out, an open circuit and taped connections wont be helping...

Alot of times an easy way to tell is by checking the rear window for the toyota manufacture marking, alot of guys don't replace it.

286 slim wedges. Pretty simple bulb, so don't be that fussed as to which one you get. ultraleds.co.uk always have decent led replacements, its the same bulb as in the cig lighter.

Cheers for the input guys, It was the battery jumped it today and started fine gonna grab a new one over the weekend to be safe, it would appear the 'apparently new' spare battery i used to test it with also needs a good charge then... At least it won't be a costly first month to owning a mr2 as it ...
