Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] ripped out the clifford today
Ok so managed to sort some of these issues, but I did come across another, after removing the Clifford I also found that the factory alarm ecu (08190-00940) has been removed too. I did find a wiring loom but not sure if its for the stock alarm ecu. http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab118/siobhankea...

European Union & mots
Just read in the paper that the eu is taking responsibilities over mots, adding upto 20 more checks to the test which will make it harder for older cars to pass.

Re: Shifty rev1 (shed?) on Ebay
I think cosmetically its nothing major except for prices for repairs, what raises my eyebrows is the price and a big question mark over its mileage, but then again could b genuine

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Just wondering
Whoops, turns out that's the door control unit, I'm guessing it has something todo with central locking. So in the passenger side I found the amp, a sound filter box thing, and another metal box, can anyone say what these do? I've stripped them out with the loom but would like to know what they are ...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Just wondering
Been removing parts of the old stock sound system, and found the amp behind the drivers side rear speaker, there seems to be another similar looking part on the passenger side behind the speaker, what is it, is it part of the old system and its good to get shot of?

Re: Cambelt replacement
Maybe I should go ahead an do it anyway, 96k on the clock, wether its been done previously or not better safe than sorry.

After researching, it doesn't seem too much of a bad job

Cambelt replacement
So found this sticker under the engine lid. Obviously looks worse for wear and it made me think, we're the rev 1 turbo imports born with this sticker to advise of the next/1st cambelt replacement, I'm thinking no as it would be in Japanese? So would these stickers be stuck only when a cambelt has be...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Headlight wiring
No HIDs fitted, maybe previously there was, just standard bulbs for now, atleast im maybe set up for them if i decide to change.

how can i go about changing the live feed location.
Is there anything underneath the frunk fuse box such as a main power line that feeds all the fuses?

[Mk2] [Generic] Headlight wiring
Not sure if this is the standard way the headlights are hooked up in all Mk2s but mine is like something unusal to me. The wire(s) come direct from the bulbs and to 2 relays, both with fuses. The relays have Cibie marked on them (i thought cibie was an aftermarket feature), then it goes direct to th...

[Mk2] [Turbo] ripped out the clifford today
So as i was unhooking the concept 300 which i guess had been installed for the best part of ten years and repairing the wires that it was spliced into, i came across a few things that i hope some people can identify. first thing i found was like a little button that was disconnected from the ignitio...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] red lockwood dials
Yeh first of all i had white smd leds, look ok was quite happy, then i fancied a change n put red bulbs in, it made the lettering and numbers look a bit blurry. I must say they look better in day than at night. was thinking about going bk to stock but i cant seem to find a good red theme set up for ...

Re: throttle body & cable
Just in need of the intake plenum.
Is it one with the throttle cable bracket mounted to it instead if mounted to the throttle body.
im in desperate need, how much u want for it.
